INVESTOR:

BUSINESS OWNER:

Basic requirments:

• Less than 45 years of age

• Must have net business assets of $300,000 for 2 out of last 4 fiscal years

• Must have business turnover of $500,000 for 2 out of last 4 fiscal years

• Must have total net assets of $500,000 which must be transferable to Australia within 2 years of settlement including sufficient funds to support yourself/family

• You must remain actively involved in your business and it must be beneficial to the Australian economy

• You must be outside Australia when the visa is granted unless you hold a current student visa

SENIOR EXECUTIVE:

Basic requirments:

• For senior executive wanting to establish or manage an existing Australian business

• Less than 45 years of age

• You must be outside Australia when this visa is granted unless you currently hold a student visa

• You must have total net assets of $500,00 which must be transferable to Australia within 2 years of settlement and sufficient funds to support yourself/family

• You must have held a position in three highest level of management structure in a major business with responsibility of major strategic policy development for 2 years out of the last 4 fiscal years

• You must remain actively involved in your business and it must be beneficial to the Australian economy

• You must have vocational English

VISITORS

Sponsored Family Visitor visa

You must be sponsored by a relative or government official to be granted this visa which is generally valid for three months.  Your sponsor needs to lodge this application in Australia and may be required to pay a security bond.  If you do not abide by the conditions of your visa the security bond will be forfeited.  You must have sufficient funds to cover your costs for the duration of your visit to Australia or your sponsor may provide evidence of his/her ability to support you.

Working Holiday visa

Passport holders of the following countries are eligible to apply for this visa:  Belgium, Canada, Republic of Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Taiwan and United Kingdom.  This visa is valid twelve months for people aged 18 to 30 years of age and allows you to do any type of work with any employer for up to six months at a time.  It also allows you to study for up to four months.  If you have worked as a seasonal worker in regional Australia for a minimum of three months while on your first Working Holiday visa, you may be eligible to apply for a second Working Holiday visa.  Health and character requirements must also be met.

Work and Holiday visa

Passport holders of Chile, Thailand, Turkey and USA who are tertiary educated are eligible for this visa.  This visa is valid for twelve months for people aged 18 to 30 years of age and allows you to do any type of work with any employer for up to six months at a time.  It also allows you to study for up to four months.  Health and character requirements must also be met.
